Celebrating Two Volunteer Contributors

November 30, 2023 -- This year marks two extraordinary milestones for HAPI’s longest-serving volunteer contributors: Nancy Hallock celebrates 40 years and Gayle Williams celebrates 45 years as HAPI volunteer indexers. Since HAPI’s beginnings, volunteers have played an essential role indexing journals for the HAPI database and supplementing the work of the HAPI staff. For much of that time, Gayle and Nancy have contributed their labor and expertise as Latin Americanist librarians, aiding students and scholars around the world in their research on the region. Gayle continues to work at Florida International University as the Latin American and Caribbean Information Services Librarian and Nancy has recently retired from Harvard College Library.
