May 20, 2025 -- HAPI has partnered with theIPregistry.org to make the process of checking, monitoring, and updating the IP addresses used to authenticate access to HAPI easier for subscribers. We will transition to use the data held by theIPregistry.org from June 1st, 2025. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to create a free user account and confirm the data held for your organization at https://app.theIPregistry.org.
Through theIPregistry.org, libraries can manage their IP addresses and broadcast changes to multiple publishers, including HAPI, from a secure, central location with one click. When you log in to your account you can see the list of all the publishers receiving your updates via theIPregistry.org, making the process easier for you to manage. We believe this service will be a time-saver for you and a means for us to ensure that all your users have uninterrupted access to HAPI.
We hope you’ll agree that this is a major service development and we’re looking forward to being able to offer this upgrade to our subscribers. Nevertheless, if you prefer to contact us directly with your IP updates, please feel free to email us at info@hapi.ucla.edu.
