September 3, 2014 -- The HAPI website has been re-launched with a new streamlined look, a more usable interface, and improved functionality. Check out our HAPI Tour for a quick overview of the new site. The site features:
· English, Spanish, and Portuguese interfaces as well as the ability to search subject headings in any of these three languages
· Easier access to more full text sources (80% of currently indexed HAPI titles have links to full text)
· Search with or without accents and other diacritics and get the same results
· Use quotation marks for phrase searching
· Autocomplete pulls suggestions from HAPI's subject headings
· One click to select records for your saved list
· Weekly updates of new records
· Video tutorials on using the site (watch for more to come in the next few weeks)
With a new look designed by user experience guru Aaron Schmidt of Influx Library User Experience the site has been built in collaboration with the development team at Imagistic. The HAPI homepage URL (http://hapi.ucla.edu) remains the same.
While there has been extensive testing of the site we are sure there will be a few bugs to fix in the first few weeks post-launch. We appreciate your patience as we work through these issues. If you experience any problems or have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at info@hapi.ucla.edu
